Fabulous Hong sisters sit down for an interview

Please note: This article was written by Sassychef of Dramabeans.

They had me at pig rabbit…or wait…was it the rabbit pig? The hybrid lovechild doll born out of Tae Kyung (Jang Geun-Seok) and Mi-Nam’s (Park Shin-Hye) puppy love in the hit drama You’re Beautiful had me looking at the Hong Sisters in a fresh new light.

It was just this past winter when I was first introduced to their sweet and often zany sense of humor while watching My Girl, starring Lee Dong-Wook and Lee Da-hae, while laid up in bed with a cold for 3 days. Although I thought the rom-com to be cute, sassy and funny, it wasn’t until You’re Beautiful and My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho that I was hooked…line and sinker. I mean come on, how could one not be hooked after Shin Mina’s first outburst of Woong-ahh~! Continue reading

You’ve Fallen For Me PD unlikely to resume directing

Please note: This article was written by Javabeans of Dramabeans.

MBC’s You’ve Fallen For Me has had some behind-the-scenes change-ups recently, notably with its director switching to writer status, and it looks like that change — initially deemed merely short-term — is going to stick. PD Pyo Min-su hasn’t returned to the set since leaving it, and producers say that it’s not likely that he’ll be able to return to directing. Continue reading

Eom Ki-joon in danger of being cut from Scent of a Woman

Please note: This article was written by Girlfriday of Dramabeans.

Noooooooooo! Bad, bad news. There’s an update on Eom Ki-joon‘s car accident, and it looks like his recent DUI does in fact put him in danger of being cut from his current SBS weekend drama Scent of a Woman, starring Kim Sun-ah and Lee Dong-wook. BUT! He’s my favorite character in that dramaaaaaaaaa! Continue reading

Protect the Boss posters and character stills

Please note: This article was written by Javabeans of Dramabeans.

We’ve got posters and character promo stills out for SBS’s Protect the Boss, and I have to say that this drama is slowly growing on me with what appears to be an offbeat, wacky vibe. It just may be quirky enough to work. Continue reading

Kim Rae-won’s comeback with Su Ae

Please note: This article was written by Javabeans of Dramabeans.

Happy dance time!

Kim Rae-won is making his first post-army project the drama Thousand Day Promise, the new title of the drama formerly called Forget Me Not, which shows good taste: It’s the series by famed writer Kim Soo-hyun (Life Is Beautiful, Mom’s Dead Upset, My Man’s Woman) and starring Su Ae. She plays a woman who’s slowly losing her memory, which makes me think this’ll be like a younger version of The Notebook. Continue reading

Yoon Sang-hyun cast as Choi Ji-woo’s leading man

Please note: This article was written by Girlfriday of Dramabeans.

Oh, what an interesting pairing! Yoon Sang-hyun (Secret Garden) has been cast in dramaland’s most coveted role of late: as Choi Ji-woo‘s leading man in her comeback drama Can’t Lose. Yoon is a big star in his own right, but right now I can only think of how his Secret Garden character Oska spent the entire series shouting, “I’m a Hallyu star!”

He’s one already, but now he’s gunning to join the A-list, if this drama goes well. Continue reading

Rumors have been swirling about possible changes in the direction of You’ve Fallen For Me — namely, that PD Pyo Min-su is being replaced — which have been refuted by the production and Pyo, who have confirmed that he is not leaving. Continue reading
